AB0059 STUDY OF THE ANTI-INFLAMMATORY EFFECT OF CINNAMOMUM VERUM IN RATS

Background: Inflammatory response is a common physiological that protects the host of many harmful stimuli such as toxins, local injuries and pathogens. Today, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are most commonly prescribed for treatment inflammatory treatments. However, long term administration these NSAIDs causes adverse effects, including gastrointestinal ulcers bleeding kidney damage. Therefore, need new with fewer side effects required. Objectives: The aim our study was to evaluate activity Cinnamomum verum ( C. Verum ) on rats while testing dose effect typical solvent. Methods: edema induced by injection carrageenan solution (CARR) in paw according method Winter et al, 1963. measurements volumes right hind each rat were taken before induction 1 h, 2 3 4 h 5 after carrageenan. 7 groups 6 received, one hour carrageenan, different treatment: G1= witness, G2=CARR + saline solution, G3= CARR+ Acetylsalicylic acid, G4= CARR - MeOH 100, G5= 300, G6= EtOH 100 G7= C.verum 300. Results: For this test, volume increases time, increase greater group treated than extracts C.Verum acid. administered intraperitoneally reduced third after. Conclusion: interesting recorded work may at least part support its popular use traditional medicine [1, 2].
